Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information OmegleTV LLC (“we”) processes when you use Meetly, why, and what choices you have. We designed Meetly to work without accounts and to keep as little data as possible.

1. Who operates Meetly

OmegleTV LLC operates Meetly. For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected]. You do not need to create an account or provide your name, email address or phone number to chat.

2. Conversations and camera access

Text messages pass through our signaling server to your partner. The application does not save them to a server-side chat history. Your current chat is held in browser memory, with up to 300 displayed messages, until you start a new chat, exit or reload. Camera and microphone access is requested only for video chat.

Video and audio use encrypted WebRTC connections, directly between devices when possible or through a relay when available. A direct connection can reveal your IP address to your partner. The application does not record audio or video. Other users can still copy messages or record their screens.

Stopping a conversation leaves your camera available for the next video chat. Return to the home page or close the tab to release it. You can also revoke permissions in your browser settings.

3. Information used to run the service

  • Browser ID: a randomly generated ID in local storage supports recent-match history and reporting. It is not a verified identity.
  • Matching preferences: text or video mode, browser language and time zone help choose a match. Time zone is used to infer an approximate region, not your precise location.
  • Connection data: IP addresses and WebRTC connection information are processed to establish chats. Network and relay providers may also process this information.
  • Reports: the reporter and reported browser IDs are used for pair blocking and repeated-report counts, and are written to server logs. The Report button does not submit a transcript or media recording.
  • Call statistics: connection time, latency, packet loss, resolution, frame rate and relay usage help measure reliability. These reports do not contain chat content.
  • Support correspondence: if you email us, we receive your address and the details you choose to send.
  • Analytics: we use Google Analytics to count visits and understand how pages are used. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google your IP address, page addresses, referring site and general device and browser details. It does not receive your chat content, camera or microphone. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on or by blocking cookies for this site.

4. Why information is processed

We use this information to connect users, deliver messages, avoid recent or reported matches, respond to support requests and understand connection quality. Where applicable, processing relies on providing the service you request, legitimate interests in operating and protecting it, or legal obligations. Camera and microphone access is controlled through your browser permissions.

5. Retention

  • The browser ID remains in local storage until you or your browser remove it.
  • Recent-match entries expire after the configured matching period, normally 30 minutes, and are cleaned up periodically.
  • Pair blocks and report counts remain in the signaling server's memory until that process restarts. Changing browser IDs can also bypass these associations.
  • The server keeps a rolling window of up to 1,000 call-statistic reports in memory and exposes aggregate summaries. This memory resets when the process restarts.
  • Report logs, infrastructure logs and email correspondence are separate from chat history. Their retention depends on the hosting and email systems; contact us for details about a specific record.

6. Sharing and providers

Your messages, voice and video are shared with the person you are chatting with. Hosting, signaling, connectivity and email providers process the information needed to deliver their services. Connection setup may contact external STUN services to discover network addresses. Information may also be disclosed where required by applicable law. Google processes analytics data as described above. We do not sell your personal information and we run no advertising trackers.

7. Cookies, local storage and your choices

Google Analytics sets cookies to measure visits; blocking cookies for this site, or using the opt-out add-on above, stops that and does not affect chatting. Local storage holds your anonymous browser ID and your age confirmation. Clearing site data removes them and may reset the associations used for matching and reports. You can end a chat, leave the site, use text instead of video, or revoke camera and microphone permissions. Clearing browser data does not erase server logs or emails.

8. Privacy requests

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, object to processing, restrict its use or complain to a data protection authority. Email [email protected] with enough context to identify the relevant interaction. We may need additional information to locate a record or verify a request. We cannot retrieve conversations that the application did not save.

9. Adults only

Meetly is for adults aged 18 and over. Age confirmation is self-declared; the application does not verify identity. Report a user who appears to be under 18 during the chat and contact us about related privacy concerns.

10. Security and international connections

WebRTC encrypts media in transit. Browser IDs do not make users unidentifiable, and no system can prevent a chat partner from saving content. Users and service providers may be in different countries, so connecting a conversation may involve international data transfers. Contact us for information about the providers and arrangements relevant to your request.
